Lauren, co-owner of Existing Loudly exhibition, commissioned this photoshoot with me. The title of the exhibition was to be Carve her open - let me shed, inspired by the southern gothic. I was drawn to the idea of the delicate and the pure contrasting the darker, mysterious surroundings.

I love working with Lauren and this has been a long standing collaboration. The Existing Loudly exhibitions are always lovely events and impressive showcases of local talent. It is a privilege to be their resident photographer and I always look forward to the next theme.

The shoot took place in the early evening of a summer’s day. I really enjoyed the challenge of labouring over the editing of the photos to achieve this darker effect.
